The SMU Law Academy (SMULA), in collaboration with the Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy (SIDRA), is proud to present a new offering: the SMU School of Law Graduate Certificate in Mediation and International Dispute Resolution (GCIM). The GCIM is targeted especially, but not exclusively, at mid-career professionals who are keen to pursue a pathway as an accredited mediator, an accredited mediation advocate, or in dispute resolution generally. Specifically, candidates will be able to gain Level 1 professional accreditation as a mediator with the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI), and qualify as a mediation advocate at the International Mediation Institute (IMI), upon fulfilling the requisite criteria. All courses under the GCIM are SMU courses conducted by SMU faculty in accordance with the SMU academic calendar.
The list of courses on offer from year to year is subject to change, and a sample of relevant courses under the GCIM is listed on this flyer. Candidates will be required to complete and pass 3 units worth of modules within 3 years to graduate under the GCIM.
