Participants will be taken through the main areas of technology law and issues that faces in-house counsels today. The latest laws on data protection and cybersecurity are a concern for all organization that collects, uses and shares client/user information and that maintains a digital system of data storage. Digital marketing have to abide by current laws restricting the modes of communicating marketing materials. Cloud computing and big data are increasingly taking on a bigger role in the economy, and the key legal issues will be tackled after an introduction to, and an update on, the subject. IT sourcing in relation to software, hardware and services are common in technology companies and even in companies that harness and use technology in its operations and will also be covered in this seminar.
