Overview

Join us as we step into a new era of data privacy in China. Since the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) took effect on 1 November 2021, there has been an influx of queries from companies scrambling to comply with the implementation of new requirements. While the new rule is being implemented, many questions are left unanswered. If your company has data on Chinese residents, has Chinese employees, uses Chinese subcontractors or buys products or services from China, you need to know this.

Join our speakers Yao Rao and Roger Lu as they share with you what you need to know about the PIPL and take you through some recent case studies.

  • Who is impacted?
  • What are key obligations for organizations under the PIPL
  • How to Legalize the Processing of Personal Information?
  • What Requirements Apply to Cross-border Personal Information transfers?
  • Cases studies
  • Q&A
