Event Overview

SCCA alongside the Centre For Domstic Employees (CDE) will be assisting a group of distressed foreign domestic workers (FDW) who may not be able to continue employment due to disputes, unfair treatment etc. The objective of the activities seeks to uplift the spirits of these FDWs through the celebration of Singapore’s National Day festivities.

About the Bicentennial Experience

The visit will begin with the Time Traveller which is a timed and guided audio-visual experience within the Fort Canning Centre that will take one hour. This will be followed by the Pathfinder, a free and easy experience comprising interactive pavilions within the greenery of Fort Gate where visitors will spend another 30 minutes or more.

9.00am - 12:00pm     Volunteers to meet at SCCA's office to pack goody bags

3rd August Sat 2019

11.00am - 11:30am     Depart from SCCA to CDE - with Goody bags

11.30am - 12:00pm     Arrive at CDE & Introduction

12.00pm - 1.00pm       Meet and mingle with FDWs/Distribute goodie-bags/Lunch

1.00pm - 1:30pm         Depart for Fort Canning Centre

1.30pm - 1:50pm         Arrive at Fort Canning Centre - Check-in

1.50pm - 3.00pm         Start of the Bicentennial Experience

3.00pm - 3.30pm         Explore exhibits at Fort Gate

3.30pm Onwards          End of Bicentennial Experience & Coach departs for CDE
