SCCA is extremely delighted to announce that the Oil & Gas + Commodities (OGC) Chapter is finally re-launching after many queries from our extremely active OGC counsel. This chapter aims to promote an interchange of information and legal views among the O&G and Commodities legal professionals in Singapore as to laws, practices and professional responsibilities in the oil and gas industry, as well as provide them with a platform and network for counsel to discuss and support one another in their specific areas of practice within the industries. 

At this chapter re-launch hosted by CMS, all counsel will have the opportunity to dialogue with their peers about current trends and issues, helping to set a foundation for a flourishing OGC chapter.

Speaker Bio

Cameron is a corporate counsel with Rio Tinto in Singapore practising in disputes and commercial law. He is FCIArb, FSIArb, FACICA and FFAVE(Master). He is on the arbitration panels of the SIAC, SIArb, KLRCA, HKIAC and the Beijing Arbitration Commission and has conducted a number of arbitrations. He has a Graduate Certificate in International Arbitration from NUS, a Master of Arts in Contemporary China from NTU and is a PhD candidate at Monash University on security of costs in international arbitration. He is Chair of the SIAC Users Council Committee for Australia and New Zealand , a Member of the SIAC Users Council Executive Committee, Corporate Counsel Liaison for the IBA Pacific Forum, Chair of the Singapore chapter of the Australian Law Council, a mediator and a security of payment adjudicator.
