In recent years, concerns have been raised over increasing cost and length of arbitral proceedings. The right approach can increase efficiency and limit costs. This event will explore the nature of costs typically incurred by companies engaged in international arbitration proceedings and consider practical steps to minimize costs and assist with the recovery of costs. We will look into how arbitration allows companies to shift the financial burden of the proceedings to third parties, and appropriate alternative fee arrangements. Finally, we will propose case management techniques to reduce the overall costs of the proceedings. The sessions will be led by experienced in-house lawyers and their external counterparts and will focus on the real needs and concerns of companies.
We are privileged that this event will be co-hosted by the SCCA and the South-East Asia Chapter of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), a non-profit association with 1200 members - of whom more than 450 are from outside Switzerland.
SCCA is proud to support IPOS International for their upcoming conference 10th Developments in IP...
