Job Description

Drive data privacy compliance with PDPA in Singapore.
Closely monitor and drive compliance with new data privacy legislation in other key markets across APAC, in particular South Korea, Japan, Australia and India.
Support business areas to continuously align with existing and new regulation in the countries we operate in APAC.
Raise awareness of Data Privacy requirements across businesses in Singapore and APAC, including through training, and updates to the APAC Leadership Team and Singapore BOD as needed.
Work together with colleagues in the legal team, support activities to align with new privacy and security legislation in China, as needed.
Setup appropriate data privacy governance and controls across markets in APAC.
Closely collaborate with privacy colleagues from the headquarter, as well as in other regions, on securing a high level of data privacy compliance.
Act as DPO or main privacy matter contact for APAC markets, as requested.
Handle personal data breaches in APAC countries.
Engage with external counsel and consultants on key data privacy related projects.
Assist with authorities related to data privacy.
Data privacy is one of the fastest growing legal fields globally. You will play an important role in securing compliance across our APAC and China businesses. Making sure that our consumer's personal data are well taken care of.
Degree in Law or related field is preferred.
Considerable experience within the field of data privacy law and compliance, preferably working in a multinational organization.
Experience with GDPR, PDPA, and other privacy laws in APAC.
Ability to understand and learn the core business ambitions and strategies to be able to provide relevant data privacy guidance on a local and global basis.
IAPP or other privacy certifications.
Extensive experience with PIPA (Korea), APPI (Japan) and other key APAC privacy legislation.
Experience working in China or with matters relating to China will be a plus.
Experience with project and/or program management in the privacy area, and in particular understanding and implementing the regional aspects and nuances of a global privacy program.
Strong understanding of the digital world, including digital security requirements.
Ability to prioritize, interest in learning & growth mentality.
An excellent teammate with strong collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills.
